Theatrical Muse Topic: Right and Wrong

"The problem, of course, was that people did not seem to understand the difference between right and wrong. They needed to be reminded about this, because if you left it to them to work it out themselves, they would never bother. They would just find what was best for them, and then they would call that the right thing. That's how most people thought."
--Alexander McCall Smith, The No. 1 Ladies' Detective Agency

It is a sad thing that there are so many who do not understand the true nature of right and wrong, and act only on their selfish and sinful impulses. I was once like this myself, full of rage and bitterness, until the Good Lord sent me into the path of a pure-hearted man who would help me heal and repent, and become a servant of the Church and a man of God.

Like a lost child, I was found and rescued… guided by the Heavenly Father and by Holy Mother Church, I was able to turn my back on my former life of sin and crime. I am now a monk, a numerary of Opus Dei, serving my brothers and sisters in Christ and giving myself over to the Lord’s will.

I know now what the true nature of right and wrong is. Righteousness comes through humility, prayer and service. Wrong is abandoning one’s heart to anger and one’s soul to hopelessness. But through the love of God, any one of us can find redemption. Many once thought I was a hopeless case, but I have been saved.
